- Halfmoon is for single Muslim adults, 18 and over, who are looking for marriage.
- Use your real first name, your real age and recent photos of yourself.
- One account per person. Don’t create an account for someone else.
Keep adab
- Speak to others as you would in front of your family.
- No sexual content, explicit photos or suggestive messages.
- No harassment, insults, threats or pressure. A “no” or no reply is an answer.
- Respect the other person’s wali if they have one in the conversation.
Be honest
- No fake profiles, borrowed photos or false details about your marital status, children or intentions.
- If you’re married, you can’t use Halfmoon.
Never ask for money
- Don’t ask for money, gift cards, crypto or help with payments, for any reason.
- Don’t move people off Halfmoon early with phone numbers, links or other apps. Halfmoon warns members about messages like these.
Child safety
Halfmoon is for adults only. We remove anyone under 18, and we have zero tolerance for any content or behaviour that sexualises or endangers children. We report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities. If you think someone is under 18, report them in the app or email safety@halfmoonmatch.com.
Reporting and what happens next
- You can block or report anyone from their profile or your chat. They aren’t told who reported them.
- Our team reviews reports. We may put an account on hold while we look, ask for an ID check, or remove it.
- Removed members can’t create a new account.
- If your account was put on hold or removed, you can appeal by email to safety@halfmoonmatch.com from the account screen. Appeals are reviewed within 7 days.
